History

Aric Schreiner graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1978 with a BS in Business Administration, major in accounting. He started preparing income taxes that year and has continued gaining experience in the complex field of taxation for 30 years.

Aric’s experience in public accounting includes stints in small firms in St. Louis and Fulton, Missouri and Springfield, Illinois.  Aric’s experience broadened into the human resources field in which he spent seven years as the Payroll Department Coordinator of an international organization with more than 500 employees and two years as a human resources consultant. He also spent seven years on the Board of Directors of a small credit union.

In July 2005, Aric came on board with Gillaspy CPA Group LLC, with Greg Gillaspy, who was the Managing Member at that time.  On December 31, 2006 Greg and his family moved to Colorado, and Aric became the Managing Member of Columbia CPA Group, LLC.  In August 2007, the company moved to its present location at 8th and Cherry in the District (downtown Columbia).
